I mean, does anyone else feel like their life is nutzo and constantly shifting? Before we had Abby I took pride in keeping a regular schedule throughout the week and months and being super organized. But, ever since we had Schmabby it’s like God just said, “I know you like to be in control, Anna, but I’m going to give you a year where every day is unpredictable and you have to learn to totally rely on me and let me be in control.” Oy. I can’t say that it’s been easy, but it’s taught me to completely depend on God and just trust Him that He has a perfect plan for me and for my little family.

With an ever changing schedule, every single one of my days looks completely different from the next. From play dates to meetings to speech therapy patients, it’s hard for me to predict what my schedule will look like from day to day. So, I’ve had to learn to adapt my style a bit to transition from one thing to the next. I want to be comfortable enough to run errands, but stylish enough to be able to meet with a brand or girlfriend for coffee.

So, I’m sure you’ve noticed that I’ve started to add “pants” to my wardrobe and not just dresses. I never really owned a lot of jeans, but am finding that have a good couple of staple jeans can give you a lot of outfit options. I’m sure you’ve noticed that I have been wearing these white jeans from Topshop all summer (and plan to on into the Fall). I snagged a staple pair of distressed denim from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Distressed denim has been a big trend for the past couple of seasons and it will be one that will transition on into the Fall.

I’ve also started to invest in some neutral tops that can be worn with jeans, to work, or with a skirt, and this top (under $40 & in multiple colors) is a great option! The twist front gives it a little character and the v-neck line is flattering for anyone and everyone!
